About this place
Set in a quiet pocket of Ojima 2-chome, Da Rocchi is a casual trattoria focused on bringing out the natural character of its ingredients. A meal often starts with fresh antipasti, such as bagna cauda made with pesticide-free vegetables, fresh fish carpaccio, or a classic Caprese of tomato and mozzarella. For an evening spent tasting a bit of everything, an assorted appetizer platter or a selection of prosciutto and salami pairs naturally with a glass from the varied wine list.
The pasta and risotto selections are equally broad. Alongside staples like tomato sauce, genovese, and carbonara, the kitchen turns out seasonal plates and a savoury bottarga pasta. Richer cravings are answered by a fragrant foie gras and truffle risotto, while a simple cheese risotto highlights the comforting depth of rice and dairy. For the main course, guests can choose from crisp, savoury grilled chicken thigh, grilled sangenton pork shoulder, or a rich beef cheek stewed gently in red wine.
Dessert is treated with just as much attention. The lineup features catalana with its crackling caramel crust, alongside tiramisu, panna cotta, rich gâteau au chocolat, and refreshing gelato. To finish, diners can opt for freshly brewed coffee or digestifs like zesty limoncello, aromatic grappa, and dessert wine, rounding out the meal at an unhurried pace.
The dining room is quiet and relaxed, accompanied by warm, unpretentious hospitality. Booking ahead is recommended for dinner.
